Call me slow...but I just finally stepped into the world of "podcasts."
Like probably 3 weeks ago!
Honestly, my phone configuration was previously not super condusive to having a lot of Aps on my phone. I also really didn't have much interest (partly due to not knowing what I was missing).
Now I know. I have a new phone with a larger capacity for Apps (plus my Dad got me interested in adding Apps...thanks Dad!). So now the world is a different place, especially now that I have greater access to PODCASTS!
There is probably a podcast featuring a discussion on everything under the sun ( I even found one for the history of bluegrass music...who new right?) There are lots of options out there but my most favorite podcasts are the ones that focus on sermons and Biblical teaching. My second favorite are now the health-related ones.
I have discovered that there is alot of useless (noisy!) chatter when it comes to podcasts, and especially self-proclaimed "health experts." Honestly it drives me nuts!
However, in my search I can say that I found one that leaves me more knowledgeable and with a greater respect for the Professional.
The Podcast is called "Health, Nutrition and Functional Medicine" by Dr Ruscio Radio. Total disclaimer is that he isn't an MD but rather a Chiropractor. You can find the link to the podcast HERE.
Honestly, my admittedly skeptical self always feels better when a stated Professional has an MD or something a little more behind the name (largely for the sake of my Readers). I didn't know his full credentials until after listening to several of his shows and honestly, I was really impressed. He seems to take a very balanced, do-able approach to functional medicine. He comes across as responsible with he extensive research he has done (and very honesty when he has not and is offering an opinion). He also comes across ans humble and kind and NOTHING can substitute for that!!!
Food For Thought: Be very careful what you put into your mind. I honestly believe that your MIND is the most powerful part of you. What you fill your mind with is what you will think on. What you will think on is what you will tell yourself.. Eventually, you will believe it and organize your life around it. So fill it with good things! Be discriminant with what you fill the precious reservoir God gave you...your MIND!
